On the 24th and 25th of September, one of the most significant kitesurfing gatherings in recent years will take place here: the KDD Meeting.
What are the Meeting days?
It's one of the best opportunities to test the finest and most advanced kitesurfing gear for the upcoming year, while major brands and industry leaders come together. The kitesurfing forum Forokiters is organising this event for the fifth consecutive year, with support from companies like Aos Adventure, Ozone, Red Bull, and Café del Mar, among others.
During these days, you can experience freestyle kitesurfing firsthand, and weather permitting, the I Race DownWind Forokiters.com will take place on the 24th along the 5km coastline. Don’t miss demonstrations and practice sessions for other sports, as well as raffles, chill-out zones, food and drink, giveaways, entertainment areas, and more.
Who can participate?
Anyone over 18 who wants to enjoy kitesurfing and test the latest gear hitting the market can sign up. Registration not only allows you to take part in the Down-Wind race and compete for fantastic prizes but also includes dinners and various celebrations. There will be a Lounge Party followed by a town parade, ending with a free-access party at Café del Mar.
What is the I Race Down-Wind?
The race covers the spots Valdevaqueros - Los Lances or Los Lances - Valdevaqueros. It’s a 5km course aimed at amateur-level kitesurfers, with first, second, and third-place prizes up for grabs. Civil Liability Insurance and Rescue services are included.
