Choose from an eventful day of ghyll scrambling, or canyoning as it´s also known, or make it a full day of multi-adventure and add climbing, abseiling and canopy to the menu! We have oodles of experiences, the best kit and friendly staff to brag about!

Our activities take place in the Lake District and climbing adventures are run in Honister Slate Mine or Shepherds Crag in Borrowdale, all locations of stunning beauty!

Welcome to Ghyll Scrambling Canyoning! We are experts in canyoning, what is also called gorge scrambling; it´s our specialty! This activity consists in either go up or down a rugged river in the stunning Lake District, leaping from cliffs and swimming in fresh mountain lakes and rivers.

Our leader Andy Brown has decades of outdoor adventure under his belt. He is AALA qualified and knows the best gorges in the area. As fun is even more fun in good company, we cater to groups looking for a wet wild adventure for adventurers of all ages. We guarantee you that we will be able to find a gorge suited to you. Teambuilding and Corporate events and friends and families will all enjoy a thrilling day of adventure with us!

The best part about canyoning is that we can´t get rained out as we are going to get wet anyways! Perhaps for England´s weather! We offer the best gear out there and all you need to bring along is a sense of adventure!

Welcome to Ghyll Scrambling Climbing! We are a marvelous outdoor adventure pursuit company that offers exhilarating canyoning adventures and other adventures such as climbing! Our climbing excursions take place in Borrowdale on natural rock of Shepherds Crag.

Learn a new skill or two and see what the wonderful world of climbing is all about. Climbing is a great way to work both your mind and body as it is a constant mind puzzle and brilliant physical exercise! We cater to groups of all ages and levels and our climbing session are perfect for those just starting out and we are more than happy to show you the basic skills of climbing.

Come for an abseiling experience with us at Ghyll Scrambling Abseiling and enjoy descending vertical drops, belaying and the adrenaline rush when your feet touch the ground again! Our abseiling experiences are run as part of an exciting day of outdoor adventure of canyoning, climbing and zip lining in Borrowdale on the natural crag of Shepherds Crag.
