I loved our two consecutive rides at the stable during our week long stay in Maspalomas, in the Canary Island.
We had the option of riding closer to our accommodation site, however the 30 minutes cab ride to Ojos de Garza gave us access to a drastically more elevated riding experience.
Our guide, Sole, is Italian and she really shines like the sun. My daughter was 5 1/2 at the time of the ride and was provided with all the security gear each time.
She was given enough freedom for the ride to be enjoyable to her yet also safe. She had been on horses many times before but never took riding lessons.
I, on the other hand, am an experienced rider. I cannot imagine taking a holiday without riding and the horses that we saw at the finca were not only gorgeous, they were also even tempered and amazingly well taken care of. One of them truly stole my heart. I thought about her daily and could not wait for our next ride.
I wholeheartedly recommend the 2.5 hour ride in Ojos de Garza, as I myself will plan our next Gran Canary vacation around the stable and getting to ride this splendid horse again. I know that if you book a ride there, you will find “your” horse too.
