The humpback whales travel thousands of kilometers from the north to reach the Cabos San Lucas area, here they seek refuge in the warm waters of the Mexican Pacific to reproduce and give birth to their calves. .The migration route they follow is the longest among the mammals that exist on the planet. This tour only takes place from December to April which is when the whales migrate to Mexico.
The experience of watching them play and jump in the water is unique and unforgettable. Despite their large size and weight, they are harmless to humans as they feed on plankton, algae, shrimp and amphipods. Humpback whales can measure between 12 and 14 meters in length and weigh up to 80,000 pounds, so witnessing their impressive leaps in the sea is a spectacular sensation. The sounds and songs they produce underwater are also surprising and are the way they communicate with each other.
We will leave very early from La Paz heading to Los Cabos, along the way we will stop to have a rich typical breakfast and gain energy for the boat ride. During two and a half hours of tour we will observe the whales and then taste a delicious meal and in the afternoon we will be back in La Paz.
