General information
Deal overview
You can try your hand at via ferrata in the morning for your first challenge. This exciting activity takes you up the side of the steep Honiston Crag; this is the first via ferrata course built in the UK and where you will climb along a series of cargo nets, ladders, and cables that have been anchored into the rock face. With nothing but your strength and skill to rely on, you'll make your way higher and higher, taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
After completing that thrilling course, we will head for some lunch, then drive to Stoneycroft Ghyll for the afternoon session, where we have a fun adventure in store for you. Be warned, ghyll scrambling is not for the faint of heart. This exhilarating activity involves navigating a rocky gorge, battling against rushing waterfalls and challenging terrain. You'll be wading through pools of icy-cold water, clambering up steep rock faces and leaping across narrow crevices as you make your way through the stunning landscape. It's a true test of skill, strength, and determination that will leave you feeling invigorated and alive.
This is a full-day activity that tests, engages and excites you for around seven hours, that is quite a long adventure, and you will have our experienced instructors guiding you the whole way, using their expertise in these activities and knowledge of the Lake District's best-kept secrets to mould the perfect adrenaline-fueled day ideal for any group event and occasion.
Our expert instructors will keep you safe by briefing you on each activity and providing all the equipment you will need for the via ferrata course and the ghyll scrambling expedition.
Whether you're an experienced adventurer or a first-time thrill-seeker, we welcome everyone over 10; ghyll scrambling and via ferrata are sure to test your limits and leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.
