Programming and Robotics Camp 7-9 Years 5 Days

Building a robot with the mechanisms and advances that have been made available to the user today has to be a true fantasy. And if, on top of that, the manufacturing of this robot occurs in an environment in which the little ones are surrounded by other children of similar ages and, on the other hand, are cared for by a team of expert teachers, the plan can only get better.

And that is what we are going to propose: that children between 7 and 9 years old, 5 or 6 if they know how to read, come to our technology camp of summer in San Sebastián, which will be held over 5 consecutive days. In our workshop, with a schedule from 09:00 to 14:00 in the afternoon, we will implement theoretical and practical lessons with a view to creating an authentic robot, like those we see in the images.

At this point, we are going to detail how our classes are divided. For 5 days, or from July 3 to 7 or from 17 to 21, with a total of 25 teaching hours, students will learn to build a robot that can be configured around five different varieties: that of a mobile catapult, that of a gripper robot strong>, with a lifting function, etc.

To do this, they will have to approach the study of basic robotics and programming concepts. So much so that some of our blocks deal with the management of a Micro:bit board, associated with a motor control board. Likewise, if you know how to program with MakeCode you will have no problem managing the mobility of its two motors and a servo.

You will not be alone, for the assembly of the robot, made up of 173 pieces, you will be accompanied by one of our qualified instructors, professionals in the sector , which will guide the little one through a very fun and enjoyable process. Furthermore, there will come a time when children, apart from programming the robot's movements with the motors, will use the servo drive for various purposes.
