Deal overview
We offer you a snowshoe hike for a day, for a complete change of scenery and a winter escape that will relax you and put stars in your eyes. You will leave in the company of a state-certified mid-mountain guide, who will take you to discover the hidden wonders of Capcir. Frozen ponds, Pyrenean peaks and snow-covered woods will all be panoramas that you can admire.
This activity begins at the Formiguères ski resort, 25 minutes from Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via and only seven minutes by car from the village resort The Angles. The meeting bridge is in the town of Mont-Louis. On site, you will meet the instructor then you will go to the departure point which is the Calmazeille chairlift.
You will walk with an elevation gain of 650 m and explore the Capcir in depth, thanks to the support and briefing of the instructor before even setting off. During your hike you will reach an altitude of 2428 m, before descending to Estany del Mig, where right next to it you will find the Camporells refuge, in which you will take a break. You will enjoy a hot meal there, with a view of the Petit and Grand Péric. Around 5 p.m., you will return to the starting point to return to your vehicles.
Good to know:
- The price of the meal (18 euros) and the ski lift (8 euros) must be paid on site by you.
- This activity is intended for moderate walkers, including children aged 11 and over.
