In the heart of the Pyrénées-Orientales department, you will discover a splendid world surrounded by the Catalan Pyrenees. Snowshoes on your feet, two poles in your hands, then off you go for three hours of walking with an elevation gain of 200 m. With the support of a state-certified mid-mountain guide, you will benefit from flawless supervision. Indeed, from start to finish, he will advise you and give you his best techniques for advancing on the snow, while leading you to the most fabulous landscapes.
It is from the town of Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via that you will be able to start this activity. The meeting point is at the Menhir parking lot in Font-Romeu. Once there, you will organize yourself to go to the site of the activity that is La Calme. After a detailed briefing from the guide, you will have your equipment at your disposal, then the activity can begin.
You will walk to a point where you will have a 360° view of the Cerdanya landscapes. During this half-day, you will be able to take a break, during which your instructor will offer you tea to warm you up.
This hike is quite easy and does not require any specific physical condition to do it. Therefore, even children aged 7 and over can participate with you in this exceptional outing.
