Winter can only mean one thing, and that is adventure, and in this case we want to talk to you about a really exciting one, a snowshoe route to La Najarra Peak, in the La Morcuera port , which is located in the Madrid municipality of Miraflores de la Sierra. A tremendous day awaits us, a snowshoe excursion of 4 hours long, but don't worry, it has a < span style="text-decoration: underline;">easy level.

This snowshoe route will take us along beautiful snowy trails to discover the Altos de La Morcuera. Generally we leave from the Fuente Cossio with the intention of walking through Cuerda Larga (one of the main mountain capes of the Sierra de Guadarrama) in the direction to the port of Canencia. Following this path, shortly before reaching Pico Perdiguera we will change direction to go towards the Prado del Toril and here we will have a walk through meadows and tracks that will be completely covered by a thick white blanket of snow. From here, and more or less 1700 meters above sea level, while we float on the snow we will contemplate unparalleled views of Miraflores, Los Altos de Hontanar and of course, of the extensive and seemingly endless Long Rope.
