Introductory parachute jump (PAC) 1 day in Lens
General information
Deal overview
Here we offer you a jump without a tandem in PAC (Accompanied Progression in Fall) initiation: you will not be attached to any instructor and you will jump with your own parachute on your back. The entire initiation takes place in one day at the Lens-Bénifontaine aerodrome in Pas-de-Calais, a half-hour drive from Lille, Arras and Béthune.
The day will begin on the ground with complete theoretical training for which no experience is required. You will cover the basics of skydiving, the equipment you will wear, safety procedures and the rules to follow during freefall.
Two state-certified instructors will supervise you from start to finish. They will help you equip yourself and go over each step of the jump with you before boarding, then they will jump alongside you to follow you closely throughout the free fall.
After several tens of seconds, it is you who will open your parachute, which the tandem does not allow. A few minutes of descent under canopy above the mining basin will take you to the landing. Once on the ground, the instructors will review your jump with you during the debriefing.
Good to know: the parachute, suit, helmet and goggles are provided. This formula includes a single jump, and our one-day PAC course includes six accompanied jumps for those who wish to aim for autonomy.
