Segway Journey at Pooley Country Park 30min

The Pooley Country Park's 62,5 hectares are waiting for you to try our segway experience for 30 minutes. With the beautiful land full of trees, green grass and natural treasures, this is the perfect opportunity to ride around the greatest venues in Birmingham. 

As we know that you already want to come, here you have some details for you to know what you're going to do with us!

First, you're going to get a general briefing that will get you familiar with the vehicle that you're going to use. We have segwayx2 for you, which is considered the best to enjoy a session like this. Then, we will provide the safety equipment that we always include in the price, like the helmets and elbow protectors to name a few. We highly recommend that you wear jeans as skirts are not the most comfortable nor the safest clothes to enjoy the activity. 

Once you are ready, our instructor will take you on a tour around and, then, you have some free time that you can use as you wish. Doubtless, this is the most fantastic plan to spend a weekday with your children, your relatives or friends.

Have you ever ridden a Segway in a park? Then come try it out! This is a very simple activity and at the same time very fun. You will ride through Pooley Country Park and discover every corner in record time: 1 hour! The benefit of riding through the park is that you won't lose so much time walking, you'll go at an appropriate velocity to enjoy the views and at the same time discover all the  field.

Once you arrive at the activity an instructor will provide you with the necessary instructions. They will focus on teaching you how to ride, the basics of how to accelerate, how to turn, and how to turn off the Segway in case you want to get off and enjoy the park. The instructor will also give a brief on safety and what are the things you must know in order to ride safely. 

Once the explanation has finished, you will begin your activity. The activity will consist on riding the Segway for approximately 1 hour. You will normally do this activity in groups, you can also bring your group if you like. 

This activity is perfect to do with family, with your partner, or with your friends. 

In order to do this activity, you must weigh under 117kg (18.4 stone).

You can learn to ride a segway at the amazing Pooley Country Park, a 63-hectare natural area in Tamworth where you can enjoy your free time with your family and friends and have a great cup of tea right afterward in one of the beautiful saloons that are found there. 

Our equipment includes a segway x2 that is great for people of different experiences, so it doesn't matter if you are a beginner. The vehicles are easy to use and will make you keep the balance without a problem. We will also provide helmets and protective tools and a general briefing in order to share some tips, so you can take advantage of your adventure!


Segwayers must be, at least, 1.34 meters high and their weight cannot be over 117 kilograms. The session will last around 1 hour and, during those 60 minutes, you can enjoy the beautiful trees, the water zones and the recreational part where children can also have fun! 

In order to stay comfortable, we highly recommend wearing close shoes and skirts and dresses are not the most convenient clothes as they can get stuck on the wheels. On the other hand, you must remember that our instructors will take you on a route and then, you can ride around as you wish, discovering your favorite places in the venue.
