Once you have overcome this theoretical part, you will be ready to enter the water, you will find yourself swimming inside a real Roman city crystallized over time, at a depth of between3 and 7 metres.
What will your eyes see? the center's guides will delicately use their hands to delicately move the layer of sand that protects the seabed, revealing splendid mosaic floors with perfect geometric patterns, dating back to the 1st century AD. Once admired, the mosaics are covered again to protect them from drafts.
Swimming in this site, you will feel like entering an underwater museum. You will visit a room where the statues of Emperor Claudius and his family are arranged.
Along the underwater route you will be able to touch and explore the urban planning of ancient Rome, you will also be able to witness a unique geological phenomenon: thousands of bubbles of gas and hot water constantly emerge from the sandy seabed due to the underground volcanic activity of the Campi Flegrei.
There will be no shortage of fauna that lives undisturbed in these waters: octopuses, moray eels, schools of salps, starfish and many others!
