Welcome to our RYA Level 1 Start Yachting in Swansea! A two-day introduction will be given to participants to enable them to comprehend yacht handling at a fundamental level!

Your mind travels to a paradise for a day when you're not involved in your usual activities or dealing with daily challenges and hurdles! Your mental health will benefit from a laid-back attitude, the breathtaking atmosphere, and the tasks you have to perform!

Within this course, you will be covering the following:

Individual safety
Approaching while slipping
Concepts of Sailing
Maneuvering a yacht
Fundamental sea safety

Following an orientation and the necessary equipment from our fully qualified instructors, we will prepare for our time on the boat. It is where we intend to spend the majority of the day. You will have a fundamental understanding of yacht handling under sail by the end of the course, along with the necessary background information.

No prior knowledge is necessary to engage in this activity. However, participants must be at least 12 years old. It is also advised by our team to progress to the Level 2 Basic Skills Course after this session.
