You have not one, not two, but three opportunities to have fun learning and sailing, three lessons at Derrynane Harbour that will boost your skills to an entirely new level.

Derrynane is a terrific place to sail, sheltered from the wind, gliding over calm waters and surrounded by breathtaking mountain views; you will be desperate to start your next lesson before the first one has even finished.

Whether you are a beginner or haven't sailed for a long time, spending a total of  three hours learning from a fully qualified Irish Sailing Association instructor will give you all the skills and belief you need to sail the picturesque waters of Co. Kerry and beyond into The Wild Atlantic Way.

Our instructors have spent years sailing in the Southwest of Ireland and have extensive knowledge of the area; they were once in your shows learning the ropes and have vast experience teaching beginners, so you are in the best possible company.

With the ideal location and instructor, it would be a shame if we didn't provide the best equipment meaning we almost always use Laser Picos, which are popular for a reason; a simplistic structure and lots of space, among other attributes, make it perfect for getting to grip with fundamentals of sailing.

We also provide a safety briefing to make you feel at ease as well as wetsuits and life jackets for each participant.
