MV Hebridean Princess is a fascinating vessel. Commissioned as a mail ship, reinforced to act as a nuclear bunker, used as a ferry to the Scottish Islands and now a luxury cruise ship that has hosted guests no less illustrious than HRH Queen Elizabeth, this is a floating piece of history.
About once a month, it moors in Holy Loch and we take the chance to get a good look at it. We have a powerboat that we use to give tours of the Princess from our moorings in Holy Loch Marina.
The RIB has space for eight people to sit comfortably and enjoy the sights. We’ll sail out to the Hebridean Princess and observe it from all angles. We have binoculars that you can use, but don’t forget your camera!
Children, adults, individuals and groups are welcome on this tour and there are life jackets for all passengers. It lasts around half an hour, taking in the ship and other places of interest in Holy Loch.
