The baptism of the 4000m, the most sought-after destination for all mountain enthusiasts. Excellent destination for those who want to try their hand for the first time.
The program planned for the two days includes:
- 1st day: meeting with the Alpine Guide at 12.00. Departure for Alagna and ascent by cable car to Punta Indren. From here we continue on the glacier up to the Gnifetti hut at mt. 3647. Dinner and overnight stay in the refuge. Difference in height mt. 300. Travel time 1.30 hours.
- 2nd day: along the Lys glacier, following a route that runs alongside the Vincent Pyramid, the Balmenhorn, the Corno Nero and the Lyskamm, to first reach the Colle del Lys at mt. 4250 and then the summit: Punta Gnifetti, with the highest refuge in Europe, the Capanna Regina Margherita at mt. 4550. 4/5 hours of walking to see a dream come true. In the afternoon, walk down to the cable car to Alagna, return to Macugnaga.
