Kayaking Taster Session (7+yrs) in Margam Park 1h

Start your kayaking journey in the heart of Margam Park; there will be plenty of sights to enjoy and skills to learn!

Surrounded by a 19th Century gothic Mansion known as Margam Castle and 850 acres of beautiful country parklands, you won't find many better locations for a one-hour taster session to get to grips with kayaking.

The pretty pond you can find not far from the castle is the ideal location for this session. Its calm conditions and peaceful atmosphere are perfect for the kayaks to sail smoothly over and ease the difficulty of learning the fundamental skills of kayaking.

Relaxing conditions and top-class instructors make this session super accessible, and it is open to beginners and beyond to get a taste of the freedom and joy of kayaking. We have single and double-sit on-top kayaks, perfect for learning and practising but also ideal for families to kayak together so adults and children seven and over can team up for a fun day together on the water.

The whole adventure will be supervised by an experienced instructor who will brief and prepare you with all the proper equipment like the kayak, paddle and buoyancy aid. This particular price includes the hire of a wetsuit which is great if you fall in and make getting back in much easier.

With our expertise, we can tailor the session to your abilities and desires, so it can be quite exciting exploring the water, spotting the wildlife and learning new skills or boosting the skills you have, but it can also be a relaxing paddle if that is what you desire, we are here to make sure you have the best time.

Before meeting up with us, we suggest arriving at the top pond in front of the castle 20 minutes before the session to maximise our time on the water; please bring wetsuit boots or old shoes and maybe bring a towel or changing robe if necessary.
