Deal overview
This two-hour horseback ride is not recommended for beginners. It begins at the end of the day so that you are in the saddle as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean, departing from our equestrian center on the Cryptomérias forest road, in the heights of Saint-Paul in Reunion. Our estate extends over 20 hectares at the foot of Maïdo.
Before departure, we will introduce you to your horse chosen according to your level and our state-certified instructor will explain the safety instructions to you. You will then cross the cryptomeria forest to the pastures which dominate the western coast of the island.
The gait adapts to each rider: we will advance at a walk and a trot, but riders comfortable with all three gaits will be able to gallop in the large pastures. The sunset light depends on the evening clouds and changes from one outing to another.
Good to know: this outing is reserved for one to ten people. The maximum weight accepted on our horses is 80 kg, including clothing. Up above, the air is fresher than at the seaside and an extra layer will be welcome for the return.
