R44 Helicopter Trial Lesson in Borehamwood 60 mins

Have you always wanted to be able to fly a helicopter by yourself? This is the ideal opportunity for you. In Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, you'll be able to take the controls of a Robinson R44 4-seater helicopter during our 60-minute trial session!

The training is evenly split between classroom theory and practical flight time, allowing you to learn the fundamentals as well as the essential ground and aerial emergency drills. You'll also learn about Visual Flight Rules and get a taste of what it's like to be a real co-pilot.

To fully immerse yourself in your surroundings, undergo the excitement of vertical take-off to enjoy the 360-degree views around you. After your experienced instructor gives you the go-ahead, you'll be able to pilot this iconic aircraft around the local areas, checking out Warner Bros. and Elstree Studios, as well as the gorgeous London skyline!

You'll not only get a taste of the thrill of flying, but there'll also be a fun hover challenge at the end of the session!

Pre- and post-flight briefings covering the essential safety regulations are included in all courses, as well as the chance to purchase photos and films of your trip. After completing the session, you'll receive a certificate of completion. 

Please note that the Robinson R44 Helicopter has a max. height restriction of 7ft (213cm) and max. weight restriction of 20 stone (127kg). The minimum pilot age is 10-years-old, with under 16s having to be supervised by an adult. The training is for 1 person, however the helicopter has 4 additional seats accessible.
