Our 30-minute Trial Lesson Experiences are the perfect opportunity to take to the skies and get a taste of what flying a helicopter is like. With our expert instructors by your side, you'll learn the basics of helicopter flight and even have the chance to take the controls yourself. Our trial lessons take place at Elstree Aerodrome.

Starting with a pre-flight briefing, you'll learn about the controls, safety procedures, and principles of flight. Then it's time to climb aboard one of our state-of-the-art R22 aircraft to fly over the stunning Hertfordshire and Essex countryside. During your flight, you'll have the opportunity to take the controls and experience the rush of flying a helicopter for yourself after our instructor leads you in the takeoff.

You should be aware that some restrictions and guidelines exist to meet the eligibility to start the exciting hobby with us and take to the sky.
All participants must be at least ten, and any under 18's require parental/guardian consent to take part; you also must be a minimum height of 5' to reach the pedals and a maximum of 6'3" and a maximum weight of 90kg.

Starting with a detailed pre-flight briefing, you'll learn everything you need to know about the R22 helicopter, one of the most popular models in the world of aviation. Our expert instructors will teach you the basic controls, safety procedures, and more techniques, ensuring that you're comfortable and confident before takeoff, which we will handle and ensure the flight is stable.

Once in the air, you'll experience the breathtaking beauty of the Hertfordshire and Essex countryside from a whole new perspective. With the stunning landscapes stretching below you, you'll feel like you're flying in a dream. And as the hour ticks by, you'll have plenty of time to take in the views, learn from your qualified flight instructor, and even take the controls yourself, an unforgettable experience that will provide a sense of joy like nothing else.

As you soar through the air, you'll experience the thrill of piloting and controlling a helicopter for the first time. With our expert guidance, you'll learn the techniques and skills to fly the R22 safely and even practice some basic manoeuvres.
