The flight areas are subject to the strength and direction of the wind, so there are different places throughout the island, each one appropriate depending on the weather situation.
The most recurring points of the island would be:
- In the northern area, there are 3 appropriate points to fly, Orzola, Famara and Mola.
- In the central area of the island, close to Teguise, you can fly in El Cuchillo.
- In the southern area, you can choose between Macher and Playa Quemada, both near Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca.
It is recommended to wear sports clothing and shoes, or hiking boots.
Minors may fly as long as they have parental authorization and weigh at least 40 kilos. The maximum weight to be able to hang glide is 80 kilos.
