Corn tour and muéganos workshop in Chiautempan

Join us on this tour in Chiautempan in which we will take you to the community of San Pedro Tlalcuapan to learn about the variety of corn and its different uses. It will be 8 hours of experience in which we will include a workshop andtasting of aguamieland pulque. Of course, you will have transportation and access to the sites we will visit.

We will begin by going to a maguey plantation where a specialist will give us an explanation about scraping maguey for the production and preparation of both natural pulque and aguamiel. Prepare your palate because of course we will try them. We will continue with the guided walk arriving at a field with milpa fields, here we will carry out a fun activity to interact with this Mexican product.

For this stage of the tour we will be attending a workshop to make corn dough with which we will cook the famous tortillas, you will know all the colors of the main ingredient. In addition, you will practice other uses of the dry corn leaf through a totomoxtle workshop, including wrapping tamales.

We will be reaching the middle of the tour so your stomach will surely start to make noise and it will be time to eat, so we will take you to a local place to taste local dishes. We will continue with our tour visiting the Muéganos Miguelito workshop, a sweet delicacy that you will not be able to stop trying.

We will end these 8 hours walking through the Plaza del Artesano where we will observe and receive an explanation about the operation of the looms.
