Madrid has not always been this city that has accustomed us to traffic and growing skyscrapers. Centuries ago there was a Medieval Madrid that we now want to discover in this guided tour.

The Spanish capital preserves vestiges of this bygone era for those who know how to see them. For this reason, we accompany you with our knowledge about the history of what was Mayrit in the 9th century, beginning its history in Muslim hands. This stage would later lead us to slightly transform its name into Magerit around 200 years later as a Christian meaning.

We will begin this historical review by finding ourselves in the Plaza de Oriente using the statue of monarch Felipe IV as a reference. We will have 2 hours to approach the key points where the Arab buildings stood, as well as the majority of its population, reaching the vital moment of the Catholic Monarchs, how and where they spent some of their days. The most hidden streets in the center will be the ones that take our minds back hundreds of years.
