The first place where the group will meet with the guide will be at 10 in the morning right in front of the entrance door to the Retreat that is located. Located in Independence Square. For the second guided tour you will meet the guide at 3:30 p.m. in the Plaza de Isabel II, next to the metro station. From there you will go together for a short walk to the door of the Royal Palace. Next you will enter and begin to discover all the works of art and the immensity of rooms that are there.
In the palace there are dozens of exclusive works painted by the renowned Francisco de Goya and Diego Velázquez as royal chamber painters. You will also be able to see a large number of tapestries, murals on walls and ceilings, spectacular carved ornaments...
The Porcelain Room will especially catch your attention, adjacent to the Carlos III Hall and which is a fantastic work of art in itself. Completed in 1770, it is a spectacular white room whose ceilings and walls are covered with porcelain plates perfectly assembled together.
After seeing other rooms and private bedrooms of the palace, you can stay to visit the gardens and the Patio de Armas of the Royal Palace, which receives this name because the >armoury where the monarchs stored a large amount of armor, swords, crossbows... One of the places that the little ones will undoubtedly enjoy the most.
