If you are looking for an activity for a school group, we propose one that combines culture and fun, with which you can learn a little more about the history of Madrid. We will tell real and legendary stories, discovering that Mayrit or Magerit, the medieval fortress, is still there, in its streets and squares.
We will take a walk of about 2 hours long, while we discuss how people lived in our city during the Middle Ages, and how cultures as different as Muslims and Christians coexisted.
We will talk about Reconquista, Repopulation and feudalism. We will see how our city was organized, what its shield was, its motto and you will be surprised to see that part of our streets and squares were rivers and lagoons.
The route is directed by an expert, with a degree in Geography and History, who will also have abundant graphic material, and a booklet with activities for each student.
The route will be like a game for the students, so they will learn while having fun.
*It is intended for students 6 years old and up. We adapt to the age of the participants.
