One of the treasures of the caliphal period, which is a millennium old, is Medina Azahara, which was built for the first Umayyad caliph of the Andalusian land. With this tour we want to introduce you to the most emblematic complexes of this palatial complex, such as the Jafar house, the portico, as well as the Rich Hall.
The House of Yafar awaits a curious façade composed of a triple arch and characterized by Ataurique decoration, it is known for the great luxury that its interior exhibits, being one of the most striking rooms in Medina Azahara.
The portico has an immense façade with fourteen arches and was the place where the caliph passed control to the troops, with the aim of magnifying the sovereign.
The Rico Hall is one of the masterpieces of the architectural complex of this site. It has great symbolism both religiously and politically. It has been used as a hall for the reception of ambassadors and as a center for other celebrations. One of the attractions found inside are the boards that have been inspired by the tree of life.
