The Sierra de la Laguna seems to be an island in the middle of the desert, since it is home to a very characteristic flora and fauna in addition to having various levels of endemism, this makes it a very peculiar area of surprising beauty. Another characteristic of this place is that it is located between a mountain system.
UNESCO has recently named it World Biosphere Reserve to protect it because much of the flora and fauna that inhabit it are in danger of extinction. If you are a plant lover, this will be a paradise for you, as it is home to 586 species of plants and 72 of them are endemic. We can also find various types of cacti and agaves.
It is also home to countless mammals including deer, pumas, coyotes, hares, deer and raccoons. In the case of birds, up to 289 different species can be observed, including the peregrine falcon, the Santus hummingbird and the common pittorreal.
We start our tour very early in the morning leaving from La Paz, we include a rich breakfast in the mountain and after our visit you can taste a delicious meal before returning to our starting point.
The biodiversity that this place gives us is truly surprising and it is a visit that you cannot miss. We are waiting for you to explore together this oasis in the middle of the mountain.
