Although we specialise in Lake District activities, we realise that some of the caves there are pretty isolated and not explorative enough for us, so we lead our caving adventures at one of the vast amounts of caves at the Yorkshire Dales National Park, just a one hour drive from Keswick. All the caves are different, so we tailor the destination and session to your abilities and the water levels so you can have the optimum experience.
To go caving, you will need essential equipment like a helmet, head torch, and suitable clothing that can get dirty and wet when navigating the slippery passages. You won't need any previous experience, but you must be over 10, physically fit and comfortable in confined spaces, as you'll be crawling and climbing through narrow tunnels and caverns.
You'll be accompanied by experienced guides who will show you the way and help you navigate the cave systems. They'll also provide interesting facts and stories about the area, including the geology, history, and wildlife.
As you explore the underground world, you'll discover breathtaking rock formations, rivers, and unique ecosystems. Some caves even have underground waterfalls and crystal-clear pools you can swim in! It's an unforgettable experience that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
The location for this activity is in the stunning countryside, surrounded by picturesque landscapes and rolling hills. You'll feel like you're in another world as you delve into the earth, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
We will have a prearranged meeting point at Ingleton, where our expert guides will brief you and gear you up for a full day of caving and exploring the depths of the Yorkshire Dales.
