2 Person Canoe Hire on the Great Ouse for 1h

There’s nothing like messing about on the river.

And there’s no better craft for it than a Canadian canoe. We have a fleet of these boats available, including canoes for 2 people - friends, couples and families need look no further.

Canoes are the perfect boat for navigation novices, so you don’t need any previous experience. Children can ride along, provided there’s an adult of at least 21 years of age with them.

In addition, there’s no need to fork out for an instructor. You can simply hire the equipment at our riverside base in Kempston Outdoor Centre, Bedford, and go for a spin on the Great Ouse at your leisure.

Included in the package are 1 hour of canoeing, paddles, life jackets, a dry bag and an orientative map. Whichever way you go, you’ll enjoy vegetation-lined banks, wildlife and flat water.

Visit us at the Kempston Outdoor Centre and hire a canoe. They’re ready and waiting on the river - the beautiful Great Ouse - and let you go on a journey of discovery.

In this hire session, which lasts 2 hours, we suggest that you go with the flow to Bedford town centre. It’s a beautiful journey, with islands in the river, plants and trees on the banks and bridges overhead. Paddling back is easy on the calm river.

No experience, training or guiding is necessary. A member of our team will help you get into the boat and give you pointers on how to use it. There’s room for 2 people on board, one of whom must be 21 years old or above.

Also included are paddles, life jackets and a dry bag where you can keep your valuables. The route is marked on a map so there’s no chance of getting lost.
