The Great Ouse - one of the country's most important rivers - flows through the town centre and has islands, grassy banks and a Victorian embankment along its course. To discover this unique environment, just hire a canoe from us.

Canadian canoes can seat 2 people and their belongings comfortably. Children can get on board, so long as they are with an adult of at least 21 years old, and no previous experience is necessary.

Our hire facility pops up on weekends on Longholme Island. From here, you can paddle downstream through the Priory Country Park to Cardington Lock and back in just 1 hour.

For safety, we’ll give you life jackets, a map and a dry bag for your valuables. Feel free to ask for advice when picking up the equipment, our experienced team members will be more than happy to help.
