This is what boating in Richmond is all about! We’re not trying to create any Olympic champions at our boat hire venue, we’re trying to give people a chance to relax and enjoy rowing on the River Thames.

We have a fleet of typical Thames skiffs moored up by Richmond Bridge, in the heart of this leafy suburb of West London. They’re available for rent from March to October every year. They’re easy to use and a pleasure to experience on this beautiful stretch of the river.

If you have one hour to spare, we can get you out onto the water in an appropriate boat for your group size. Individual skiffs to eight-seat vessels are available.

We’ll give you a briefing on safety and tide times before you set off. We can supply life jackets on request for adults and on a compulsory basis for children.

Have a right royal time on the River Thames with us!

Richmond upon Thames is famous for its royal connections, and you can feel like royalty by taking a boat trip along the river. Though just eight miles from the crowded waterway of central London, the Thames here is far more spacious, scenic and sophisticated.

We’re offering you two hours of boating pleasure in this iconic area of the capital. Our boats are skiffs - long, narrow boats made in the traditional style and propelled by rowing. Don’t worry, it’s not hard to get the hang of controlling them!

We have boats of different shapes and sizes that can comfortably seat individuals, couples and groups of up to eight people. They’re perfect for a bit of fun, or for a special occasion like a birthday or get-together of old friends.

We have life jackets for children and adults can use one too if they would like to. Before you embark, we’ll give you some information about safety and tide times, before letting you enjoy the river at your leisure.

Go full Three Men in a Boat by taking a rowing skiff along the Thames.

The heroes of Jerome K Jerome’s famous story start their journey in Kingston, but we’re based a bit closer to central London in Richmond Upon Thames. From our base at Richmond Bridge, you can enjoy a full day’s boating on England’s greatest river.

You can row downstream passing Kew Gardens or go in the other direction towards Petersham Meadows and Eel Pie Island. Why not pack a picnic and enjoy it by the riverside.

Our rowing skiffs are easy to use, even if it’s your first time rowing. We’ll give you life jackets, to be worn by children at all times, and information about tides. There are roughly five hours of boating time per day, limited by the tidal range of the river.

The boats in our fleet range in size to suit groups of up to eight people - to say nothing of the dog! This experience is ideal for individuals, couples, or groups like stag and hen parties. This price is for adults - you can add yougsters to the group by booking our children's price.
