We will take you with us for a 1.5 hour outing on the Thau basin. Located in Marseillan, in the Occitanie region, Thau pond has exceptional fauna: breams, seahorses, pink flamingos... Its surface area of 7,500 hectares makes it the largest pond in Languedoc. This basin is separated from the Mediterraneanby a fine sand lagoon called the lido. During this walk, you will have the opportunity to learn more about fishingand shellfish farming, characteristic elements of the commune of Marseillan .
We will meet you on the Quai Antonin at the port of Marseillan. Once you arrive at the assembly point, you will meet our crew there who will take you on board the boat. You will then sail on the Thau pond and discover the wonders that it shelters.
You will, among other things, have the opportunity to explore the numerous oyster beds and listen to the explanations about them given by your guide, a passionate fisherman his job. During this walk, you will also make a stop in front of the Canal du Midi, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After having had your fill of discoveries and escapism, you will return to dry land where you can carry out a short debriefing with our team on the moment you have just experienced .
