1-hour hot air balloon flight in Puy-en-Velay, adult rate

We offer you a hot air balloon flight lasting approximately one hour from Puy-en-Velay, in Haute-Loire, aboard one of our hot air balloons. Takeoff always takes place at sunrise to avoid the thermal winds of the day. Between reception and return to the meeting point, the getaway takes up three and a half to four hours of your morning.

You will be welcomed around thirty minutes before daybreak for the weather update and presentation of the flight plan. We then drive you in our vehicle to the takeoff site, chosen that morning based on the wind. You will witness the preparation of the equipment and the inflation of the envelope before the safety briefing and boarding in the nacelle, where you remain standing throughout the flight.

The time spent in the air varies from 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes depending on gas consumption. The ball moves with the wind and no home run is guaranteed. Depending on the day, you can fly over Le Puy-en-Velay and the Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe rock, the Polignac fortress, the Saint-Vidal castle or the Loire valley. On the ground, our team members follow the hot air balloon by radio to pick you up where it lands. Landing is done crouching in the basket. Once the balloon is folded, we serve you a snack with a glass of champagne and you receive your ascent certificate before returning by vehicle. The 180° photo taken during the flight will be sent to you afterwards.

Good to know: a ground wind of more than 20 kilometers per hour, rain or a security reason can cause the flight to be canceled until the last moment, and we will then look for another date with you. It's no colder in the air than on the ground, but the grass is wet in the morning and we recommend high shoes. Flight generally does not make you dizzy, due to lack of reference with the ground. You must be able to stand for more than an hour and pregnant women cannot board. You will be asked for your weight when booking.
