We invite you to step into the copilot’s seat of a plane and learn how to fly. The plane in question is a Cessna 172, a four-seat aircraft with dual controls. The best thing about this option is that you can bring a passenger with you.
Also in the cockpit will be your pilot-instructor. They will have greeted you at the airport, Rochester Airport in Kent, and gone through pre-flight briefings and checks before taking off from the runway. Once in the air, they’ll introduce you to flight.
This trial flight is designed for people over the age of 14 who are no more than 6 foot tall and 17 stone in weight (198 cm and 105 kg).
If you’ve always dreamed of becoming a pilot, this will confirm that desire. It can even count towards your flight training if you choose to work towards a Private Pilot’s Licence.
