Plane flight to the Sil Canyon from Allariz

Get ready because we have a light plane flight over Galician lands that is a true delight for the senses. For 60 minutes, we will take to the skies to see the imposing Sil canyon, departing from the Orense region of Allariz and taking off from the Chaira airfield, located in the town of Baños de Molgas. Your eyes will be amazed when they contemplate this lively and varied environment.

For this plane flight through the Sil Canyon you will not need anything except a good camera or device, because the beautiful landscapes that occur in this place are worthy of immortalizing. We will take care of everything necessary for this experience and for our part there will be a professional pilot who knows this itinerary inside out and who will take you through the most spectacular corners of this environment.

We will meet at the Chaira airfield and here you will receive a brief theoretical talk about the aircraft and all the protocols that we will have to follow. When you don't have a single doubt in mind, we will get on and begin our small plane flight through the Sil Canyon. We will reach 1250 meters high and from the beginning this journey will give us a landscape that cuts through words, since first we will come across the Sierra de San Mamede and the Edrada reservoir.

Having bypassed these places, from the heights we will see the Mao River and we will follow its course until we meet the Sil River. During this journey we will see a spectacular landscape, as we will be able to appreciate how these rivers make their way through mountainous environments full of vegetation, leaving a humid and green landscape in their wake. This will be the case until we leave the Orense province behind and enter the most enclosed and sheltered area of this plane flight through the Sil canyon, as we will reach the Santo Estevo reservoir >.

Flying over this area will allow us to see another aspect of the Sil Canyon, we will be able to enjoy its enormous walls from the heights until they are reduced to nothing and we will see the Sil River snaking between its cliffs upholstered in green. When we contemplate this natural monument we will head back to the airfield and on the way we will see the Monastery of the Miracles of Medo, an architectural work dating from the 18th century that, as we pass it, will leave us with magnificent views of the Arnoia river valley.
