4x4 route and boat ride on the Guadiana River for children

Get ready for a route for the whole family where we will enjoy a boat ride along the Guadiana as well as getting to know the interior and the coastal towns of the east of the Faro district through an incredible 4x4 route.

We will start in Vila Real de San Antonio, a border town located on the banks of the mouth of the Guadiana, we will get on the boat, which will take us to the end of the river and then set course inland, sailing over the natural border that separates Spain and Portugal.

For 1 hour and a half, we will cross under the cross-border bridge, we will see the Spanish town of Ayamonte from the river, we will pass through the different landscapes offered by the inland towns and we will enjoy the views from this great boat ride.

Once we disembark, we will get into the 4x4 to embark on a route through the interior of the Eastern Algarve. We will arrive at the Sapal Verde Nature Reserve, where the sound of thousands of birds that they inhabit accompany the marshes where hundreds of animals such as the flamingos characteristic of the area make their way.

We will ride along the paths that connect the inland towns until we reach Cacela Velha, passing through the Beliche dam. In this coastal town we will stop to immerse ourselves in the traditions of the Eastern Algarve, and above all to enjoy the views of this small town.

As a culmination, we can stop on the way back at one of the farms in charge of making the famous Medronho, which we can try. Don't wait any longer to enter one of the areas of the Algarve still to be discovered by tourists, where incredible landscapes are hidden, starring the great Guadiana River.
