Manchester Canoe Club

Welcome to Manchester Canoe Club

We were founded in 1933, making us one of the oldest Canoe Clubs in Great Britain. We have a wealth of experience of canoeing, locations, and more placid and white water.

We have club sessions every week:

• Sunday mornings 10am - 1pm
• Tuesday and Thursday evenings 7pm til late

Thursday evenings are mainly for slalom training, and Sunday and Tuesday sessions are open for club members and prospective members.

We still run our club sessions during the winter, and the evening sessions are under floodlights. However because of the weather, only our hardcore members tend to be out on the river!

We also run a number of courses every year including 1 - 3* training and assessments, such as introduction to moving water, slalom courses and more.

• Slalom
• Play boating
• Wild water racing
