Rupert Hirner Bungy Jumping

We can trace the origins of Bungy Jumping hundreds of years ago on the island of Pentecost.

Legend has it that a wife who was abused several times by her husband managed to escape from him, fleeing to save herself from her husband and climbed to the top of a very tall tree, her husband dared to follow her! Before he reached her, his wife jumped with vines tied to her ankles and landed on the ground without any kind of damage, the angry husband jumped without the vines and met her death!

With the aim of celebrating the audacity of this woman, every year the jump turned into a real ritual. Since then they have jumped from a maximum of 35 meters from high wooden towers that they build themselves. The towers are divided into about 12 sections, each representing a part of the human body, the highest part being the forehead, only the most daring jumped from that high.

Rupert Hirner has more than 25 years of experience in jumping in Bungy Jumping, based in Gratkorn, Steiermark, Österreich in Austria, will be the ideal choice for a special jump. His first jump was in 1993 from the highest bridge in Europe ... 192 meters!

About 5 years later, in September of 1998 the first official Bungy was authorized and from that moment it was allowed to skip the whole year. Now thousands of jumpers are jumping off this spectacular bridge. It will be an unforgettable experience that we are happy to offer you with the exclusivity of the place.

Today we jump from three different locations, the Europabrücke Bridge 192 meters high, the Kölnbreinsperre dam with its 165 meters of Altura and our cranes for a bungy mobile !!
