The Farne Island and surrounding oceans are an important and famous wildlife reserve. If you visit in the spring breeding season you can see over 80,000 couples of guillemots, eider ducks, fulmars, kittiwakes and shags. Throughtout the year, the grey seals are frequent and during the Autumn and Winter up to 4,000 can make the Farne Islands their home.
