What a beer bike tour is like
A beer bike is a long, pedal-powered bar on wheels. Your group sits on stools facing each other around a central counter and pedals together, while a driver from the provider steers and brakes. You ride a route through the city centre for one or two hours, with music on board. The effort is shared between everyone, so the pace stays gentle. It's mostly booked for stag and hen dos, birthdays and work parties.
What happens with drinks depends on the city and the provider. Some tours include drinks, and others don't allow alcohol on board, so the group brings soft drinks instead. There are also disco night rides, tours with a host or a video of the ride, and private bikes just for your group. The bike needs enough people to pedal it, so it's booked by the group rather than seat by seat.
