What to expect from a theme park day
The voucher covers full-day entry to theme parks, from the big parks with roller coasters and water rides to family parks built around a theme for younger children. A theme park day starts when the gates open: the first hour is usually the quietest time for the most popular rides, and the queues grow towards midday. It helps to do the big rides first, then the shows and smaller attractions. Weekends and school holidays are much busier than term-time weekdays.
There are also indoor discovery centres for children aged 3 to 12, with building zones, soft play, a couple of rides and a 4D cinema, which are a good option on a rainy day. And there are landmark rides, like a 30-minute turn on a giant observation wheel, some with fast-track entry to skip part of the queue. Every ride has its own height limit, so if you're going with children, check them before you set off.
