Air Salento

Air Salento is a sports association and flight school certified by the Aero Club of Italy in Rome and the only one in Salento to rely on, for its operations, to new and latest generation aircraft: the ultralight Pioneer 200 and the Pioneer 300 Hawk.

The renowned flight school organizes piloting courses and tourist flights of acclimatization to the splendid Salento area, in order to promote and encourage the knowledge of this incredible territory and flight activity.

All the proposals of the school are organized with departure from the "Corte" Airfield at 3 km. from Maglie (Lecce).

The main commitment of the school concerns training and didactic activities, in order to transmit the aeronautical culture and to teach students a way of flying in total safety, not simply that of "obtaining" a patent.

For this reason, Air Salento , uses a particularly effective teaching method, in which the instructor guides the student throughout the training process, until he is able to fly from "alone". In many flight schools, however, "solo" flights are not allowed and the student is forced to always fly in the company of the instructor ...

To maintain what we believe is the fundamental characteristic of flying activities, fun, at the Air Salento school, insurance coverage is extended to any risk connected to the school and the use of our aircraft.
Therefore: the school, the instructor, the examining instructor, the students and, with the "Kasco" formula, the planes are insured. Finally, alumni, now patented, and passengers are insured to allow them to use our aircraft.
