Out of all the adventure sports we can offer you, skydiving is the most exhilarating, as it lets you experience a sensation of vertigo combined with complete liberation. Being able to fly like a bird and enjoy incredible landscapes isn't something you can experience every day.

A practical parachuting lesson with instructors

A tandem jump is the perfect way to enjoy nature differently - forget what most people imagine when they think of outdoor activities as just countryside picnics. This activity is nothing like that, as it'll let you release adrenaline and say goodbye to stress.

But before leaping into the void, you must consider fundamental principles like always going with professionals. Ensure your instructor is properly qualified for their role, as otherwise it could be dangerous. Once you've found a reliable, high-quality skydiving company, it's time to book your jump.

 Planning with open parachute

The equipment you'll need is simple but essential. Take note:

Parachute - obviously the crucial element. You need two: a main canopy and a reserve/emergency chute attached to the harness. This system contains several components:
  • Containers. Hold both parachutes.
  • Harness. Supports the jumper and connects them to the containers via straps.
  • Main and reserve canopies. Correspond to the primary and backup parachutes respectively.
  • Cutaway handle. In emergencies, separates the skydiver from the main canopy.
  • Main and reserve ripcords. The main ripcord deploys the primary parachute from its pocket at the container's base, pulled by the main instructor. The reserve ripcord activates the emergency chute if needed, positioned opposite the main one.
  • Pilot chute. When the ripcord is pulled, this small parachute catches air to extract the main canopy.
  • Automatic Activation Device (AAD). If speed becomes excessive relative to altitude, it automatically deploys the reserve parachute.
  • Steering toggles. Allow canopy control after deployment.
  • Altimeter. Shows your altitude (visually or audibly) as the name suggests.
  • Helmet. You can never be too careful!
  • Goggles. Essential for keeping your eyes open against the wind pressure during freefall.
  • Gloves
Jump suit with support harness. Remember to wear comfortable clothes underneath and proper footwear that protects your feet during landing.
