Basic Paintball Rules
Paintball is an extreme sport where two teams compete against each other to achieve a common goal... winning! The objective varies depending on the game mode. However, to play properly, you not only need the right equipment but must also follow these fundamental rules:
- The most crucial rule is to never remove your mask during gameplay under any circumstances. The mask protects your face and head – without it, you risk an unfortunate shot to the eyes or ears that could cause injury.
- Even if your opponent is wearing their mask, never shoot at the face. Although masks can withstand paintball impacts at speeds of 90 m/s, targeting this area is strongly discouraged. Don't push your luck!
- Maintain a safe distance – never shoot your marker from closer than 8 metres. Failing to respect this limit may result in minor but avoidable injuries from the impact.
- Always disable your paintball marker when off the playing field. Some markers have a safety switch on the side, but if yours doesn't, simply block the barrel with a squeegee. This prevents accidental firing by stopping paintballs from exiting the barrel.

- Wear a full-body suit along with other protective gear: gloves, a vest, and a neck guard. Underneath, we recommend comfortable clothing, preferably long sleeves and trousers. Also, wear supportive trainers or boots with grippy soles for running across the terrain.
- Never shoot in the neutral zone, as this area is strictly reserved for reloading or eliminated players.
- If you're eliminated and must leave the paintball field, exit with one arm raised high as a signal. This lets teammates and opponents know you're out of the game and shouldn't be shot.
- If unsure whether you've been hit – either from a splatter or not seeing the impact – call for a "paint check" by asking a teammate or referee. You can also request one if you believe you've hit an opponent who hasn't declared themselves out.

By following these basic rules and committing to fair play, you'll enjoy a fantastic game with friends without any incidents. So now, are you ready for an exciting round of paintball?
Let the battle begin!
